The Voigtländer Nokton 40 mm F1.2 aspherical SE E-Mount is a comparably compact lens. The focal length is appreciated by many photographers for its versatility (corresponding to ca. 60 mm on APS-C sensors). The lens construction is extremely sturdy, made only of glass and metal, and offers solid yet precise handling. The electronic contacts transfer relevant data to the camera, the lens design is optimized for the latest Sony full-frame cameras, and focus-peaking makes focusing a cinch.

The maximum aperture of f/1.2 m allows for smooth background separation and gives reserves for difficult light situations. In the disciplines image quality and optical performance, the Voigtländer Nokton 40 mm F1.2 aspherical SE E-Mount excels, setting itself apart in its class.

The product line SE (“Still Edition”) aims at photographers who can have no need for the stepless (and silent) aperture, a feature that is important for videography. The SE models forego these complex fine mechanics, and all SE models come with 1/3 steps click stops.

This lens is for photographers wanting a tool for classical photography, delivering outstanding results and the typical exceptional quality of a Voigtländer lens.
