Voigtländer presents the new COLOR SKOPAR 18mm F2.8 aspherical X-Mount, a wide-angle lens with manual focus that was developed specifically for the APS-C image format and harmonizes perfectly with the image sensor of the Fujifilm X camera system.
By integrating electronic contacts, the lens ensures reliable communication between the lens and the camera body. It impresses with outstanding optical performance, based on a double-sided aspherical lens and atypical partial dispersion glass. Despite its high-quality optics, the lens remains extremely compact and has a pancake-style design with an overall length of just 23.5 mm from the bayonet mount.
The COLOR SKOPAR 18 mm F2.8 aspherical X-Mount offers an angle of view equivalent to 28 mm in full-frame format, establishing itself as a popular standard for wide-angle lenses. This makes it ideal for snapshots and versatile photo opportunities. The narrow close-up limit of just 17 cm also opens up exciting perspectives and allows the photographer a high degree of creative freedom. The focus ring of the lens is provided with a bump that enables simple and precise control. The approximate focus point can be set effortlessly without having to look at the distance scale, making it easier to focus quickly.
With aperture blades consisting of 10 elements and 1/3-stop clicks, the lens also creates a beautiful bokeh. The new Voigtländer COLOR SKOPAR 18 mm F2.8 aspherical X-Mount is an ideal addition for photographers who value high-quality optics, compact design and precise manual control.
It is available in black and silver. The recommended retail price is 599 euros and the scope of delivery includes a screw-on lens hood (for both color variants in black).
